Terms of use

1. Who can use Gpsy

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. One person, one account.

2. Play fair

• Check in only when you are physically at the place. Do not use mock-location apps, scripts, emulators or any trick to fake a visit.
• Do not run multiple accounts to farm XP or leaderboard rank.
• We may reject stamps, remove XP, badges or posts, or suspend accounts that break these rules.

3. Your content

You own your photos, notes, posts and comments. You give us a licence to store and show them in Gpsy, as you choose through your privacy settings. Do not post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, misleading, or that includes someone's private details. Posts cannot contain links or email addresses.

4. Be safe

Gpsy sends you to real places. Use your judgement: obey the law, respect local rules and people, mind opening hours and prayer times at places of worship, and do not visit anywhere that feels unsafe. Do not use your phone while driving.

5. Places and information

We curate places and details with care, but places close, move and change. Place information, events and guides are provided as is, and we cannot promise they are always accurate or up to date. Use “Is something wrong here?” and we will fix it.

6. Events and third parties

Events are run by their organisers, not by Gpsy. Gpsy only lists them and records interest and check-ins. Links and maps may open third-party services with their own terms.

7. Our content

The Gpsy name, logo, mascot, map illustrations, guides and app belong to us. Map geography is © OpenStreetMap contributors. Do not copy or resell our content without permission.

8. Rewards

XP, levels, badges and ranks have no cash value. We may change how they work as the game grows.

9. Ending things

You can delete your account any time (see account deletion). We may suspend or end access for breaking these terms or to protect other people.

10. Our responsibility

Gpsy is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for injuries or losses from visiting places. Nothing here limits rights you cannot lose by law.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you about meaningful changes. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction.
